Turning $24 into Hope: The Fight Against Human Trafficking
The History of Freedom 4/24
In 2009, the founder of Freedom 4/24, Christine Gelatt, was working with a safe house called Beginnings Foundation in Southeast Asia when she witnessed a young woman being sold for 24 hours for $24. Horrified by the injustices that she saw daily, Christine knew she had to do something. When she returned to the States, Christine began selling t-shirts for $24 to raise awareness around the issue of human trafficking and would send the proceeds to the Beginnings Foundation.
With that, Freedom 4/24 was born, and $24 had a new meaning. It now represented the freedom $24 could bring rather than the exploitation it had once facilitated. Freedom 4/24 is dedicated to preventing and ending sexual exploitation and human trafficking both locally and globally. We leverage the power of education, awareness, and restoration to drive meaningful change.
Giving Tuesday
Human Trafficking is one of the greatest evils in this world, and Giving Tuesday serves as a powerful reminder of the impact that can be made through collective generosity.
This year, we are asking for a donation of $24 to help bring freedom to the victims of human trafficking. The contributions made on Giving Tuesday support programs that provide education, awareness, and restoration for those affected by this injustice.
Through a donation of $24, you can help create meaningful change in the lives of individuals who have endured this hardship. Join Freedom 4/24 this Giving Tuesday and participate in the lifesaving mission to prevent and end human trafficking.
Once, $24 was used as a tool to facilitate the exploitation of a young woman, but today, that same amount is used as a symbol of hope and restoration. What was once a currency used for evil and injustice is now a tool for liberation, helping us to reclaim the lives and dignity of human trafficking victims.
What $24 can do
A donation of $24 can do wonders in the life of a Human Trafficking victim.
For just $24:
One U.S. student can be educated on the topic of human trafficking, which helps to prevent their exploitation.
A survivor in India is provided a care package immediately after her rescue
A girl and her baby in Uganda can receive a month’s worth of food.
These contributions are crucial in supporting vulnerable individuals and fostering positive change in their lives.

Your donation DOUBLED!
On this Giving Tuesday, we invite you to join us in our Match Campaign, where every dollar you give is doubled up to $12,500! Thanks to the generous support of Liberty University, Goodway Cares, and F&G Annuities & Life, we have raised a $12,500 match.
If we meet this goal, we will raise $25,000 to educate over 1,000 children and protect an entire school from exploitation.
The contributions made on Giving Tuesday will have a profound impact, enabling us to safeguard the futures of our children and provide vital resources for survivors. Help us turn this opportunity into a powerful force for change and donate to help us meet the match!
