The Human Trafficking 101 Workshop is an in-person or live online session facilitated by a Freedom 4/24 staff member, intended for adult audiences seeking a comprehensive overview of the globally growing crime of human trafficking. This training clarifies common misconceptions about the various forms of human trafficking, identifies factors that put individuals at risk, and shares data regarding the vulnerabilities targeted by traffickers. By the end of this training, participants will be able to recognize the tactics used by traffickers and respond effectively to help keep their community safe.

The Equipped Parent Workshop is an in-person or live online session facilitated by a Freedom 4/24 member. This workshop educates parents and guardians about the primary challenges facing today's youth, provides crucial online safety information, raises awareness to prevent human trafficking and exploitation, and offers strategies for building connections with your child while helping them establish boundaries to stay safe.

    • Understand baseline factors that comprise youth culture

    • Know main risk factors for potential child exploitation and trafficking

    • Be able to define aspects of human trafficking as it relates to youth 

    • Be able to recognize potential red flags of potential/actual exploitation in youth 

    • Understand protective factors and healthy practices to be incorporated with youth

    • Tips on how to protect youth who are on social media and gaming platforms

    • Know how to report and respond to potential or actual cases of exploitation/trafficking

Human Trafficking Prevention Curriculum for Schools

5th - 12th Grade Curriculum | Now LIve

The Human Trafficking Prevention Curriculum is a comprehensive package of educational materials developed for teaching 5th through 12th grade students lessons based on the Family Life and Health Standards of Learning in Virginia. The curriculum includes four modules with materials for classroom facilitation with scripted lessons, videos, and student activities including role plays and scenarios. Students will learn about boundaries and consent in healthy relationships, online safety, sextortion, as well as a comprehensive understanding of exploitation and human trafficking in the world today and how to respond.

College & Young Adult Human Trafficking Modules

The College and Young Professional Human Trafficking Module is an asynchronous online course that provides two hours of comprehensive learning materials on human trafficking and exploitation. This course explores the implications of this growing crime on young adults, raising awareness of the risk factors specific to this demographic. The lessons cover the supply and demand dynamics of human trafficking, as well as the recruitment and control tactics used by traffickers. Participants will learn through the analysis of current data reports, survivor vignettes, expert interview videos, and self-paced reading. By the end of the module, participants will be equipped to recognize the signs of human trafficking and know how to respond to actual or potential cases.

Freedom 4/24’s Human Trafficking and Healthcare training is an online program that helps healthcare workers understand human trafficking and its impact on health care. The course looks at labor and sex trafficking, the profiles of traffickers and victims, and teaches how to spot potential trafficking victims in medical settings. After completing the training, participants will learn to recognize the signs of trafficking, its effects on patients' physical and mental health, and will have the tools to support and assist victims appropriately. *There is a small fee for this course.

The training covers various aspects of labor and sex trafficking, along with the profiles of traffickers and trafficking victims. Wellness and beauty professionals will learn how to identify potential trafficking victims and will be equipped with the necessary response steps and tools to offer identified victims the assistance and support they need. *There is a small fee for this course.
