Talking to Your Children About Exploitation | Resources for Parents

Parents, here are some activities you can go through with your child to get the conversation started on what situations are safe and not safe, who is a “trusted adult”, and also set general boundaries and rules that you should have in your home to keep your child safe and away from exploitation.

These activities will allow you to dialogue with your child, and share openly together explaining that most people are not out to hurt you, but we all need to be aware of situations and people that could harm us.

When we have these conversations on the front end, it provides a path for our children to come to us when they may experience something uncomfortable or inappropriate.
